Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
PledgeIt helps you keep daily promises with simple check-ins, Progress reports and a Ledger. This policy covers the app and this website. We do not sell personal data or use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs in the app.
1. What stays on your device
The app stores your pledge titles, notes, schedules, daily check-ins, saved runs, and progress history on your device. Progress, Weekly Review, the Ledger, and any plan review you choose after a miss (such as making a pledge smaller or changing a reminder) are calculated and saved on your device too. Sign-in links your account and membership; it does not synchronize your current pledges between devices. The app also stores preferences, the start of your free access period, and cached feature ideas and feedback drafts locally.
2. Local reminders and display features
Reminders are scheduled locally after you choose them and allow iOS notification permission. Optional daily encouragement is a set of short quotes built into the app, delivered as local notifications. Widget snapshots and Live Activity state are stored on-device and shared between the app and its widgets through an Apple App Group. Sunrise and sunset options are fixed 6 AM and 6 PM local-time presets; the app does not ask for location permission and does not collect or send location.
3. Purchases and payments
- Membership purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment card details.
- We process signed transaction information and subscription status to verify and link membership access to your account.
- Apple handles billing, subscription cancellation, and refund requests.
4. Feature ideas and feedback
Ideas you submit to the shared feature board and their vote totals can be viewed by other users. We store submissions and votes with your account. Feedback sent through the app is delivered to our team. Please avoid putting sensitive personal information in public ideas or support messages.
5. Accounts and service operations
When you use Sign in with Apple, our service at api.pledgeit.in processes your Apple account identifier and the name or email Apple provides, which may be a private relay address. The app stores its sign-in token securely in the device Keychain. When you use our account service, the information it can receive is limited to the following. All of it is used only to run the app’s features, can be linked to your account, and is never used for advertising or tracking:
- Name and email address that Apple supplies when you sign in (the email may be a private relay address).
- User ID, the Apple-based account identity and authentication token the service needs.
- Purchase history, meaning signed Apple transaction identifiers and your membership status, with no card or bank details.
- Customer support content, meaning feedback you deliberately send.
- Other user content, meaning ideas and votes you post to the shared feature board.
Pledge titles, notes, reflections and check-in history are not uploaded as analytics. Content leaves your device only when you deliberately include it in feedback, a public feature idea, or a card you share.
Our servers and hosting providers process request information such as IP addresses, timestamps, and error details to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Apple processes information for sign-in and purchases. We may disclose information where legally required.
6. No in-app usage analytics
PledgeIt does not collect in-app behavioral analytics. We do not send app-open events, pledge-creation events, check-in outcomes, reminder opens or screen views to an analytics service. There is no usage-sharing prompt, analytics SDK, advertising identifier or analytics installation identifier in the app.
The existing account and subscription APIs still process information needed for sign-in, membership verification and deliberate feedback or feature-idea submissions. From version 2.3, local practice with one active pledge is free without an account; Sign in with Apple is requested when you choose to subscribe or use account-dependent features. Signing in does not itself purchase a subscription or synchronize your pledge history.
7. Website analytics and browser storage
This website uses first-party analytics through our hosting platform. It records a random visitor identifier, page visits, referrers and campaign information, device and browser information, IP addresses, link clicks, time on pages, scroll depth, viewed sections, and sampled pointer movement to understand website use. App Store button clicks help measure advertising click-through; they do not confirm an install or purchase. We do not send these analytics to Meta. These website records are separate from your app's pledge history.
Your browser stores the website visitor identifier and theme preference in local storage. You can clear this storage through your browser settings. We do not sell these records or use them for third-party advertising.
8. Retention and deletion
Use Options → Your Apple account → Delete account to request deletion of your server account and associated data and clear the app's data on this device. Deleting only the app does not delete your server account. Contact us for questions about access, correction, deletion, or records associated with an earlier app installation.
Account and service records are kept as needed to provide the service and handle support. Limited records may be retained where necessary for legal obligations, security, or transaction integrity. Deleting an account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage that separately through Apple.
9. Children
PledgeIt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and announce material changes in the app before they take effect.
