These terms govern your use of the PledgeIt iOS application ("PledgeIt", "the app"), operated by PledgeIt / Hakeemi ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these terms.

1. What PledgeIt is

PledgeIt is a self-accountability and habit-building tool. Create a personal pledge, choose its duration and daily check-in window, and record whether you kept or missed each day. Progress, Weekly Review and the Ledger show your record over time. The Ledger’s “one dollar a day” is a symbolic metaphor for your time: PledgeIt never charges, holds, stakes or pays out money because of your pledges.

2. Daily check-ins

Check-ins are self-reported, and you can correct one while that day’s check-in window is open. If a window closes without an answer, your reports count that day as missed; the app does not record an answer on your behalf. You can edit or restart a pledge as your routine changes, and earlier days keep the title and hours they were saved with. Membership pricing is independent of your daily results.

3. Free access and memberships

• In version 2.3 and later, one active local pledge is free without an account or subscription. Earlier versions may offer a three-day no-card free access period; any existing unexpired free access remains available until it ends. Free use never automatically starts a paid subscription.
• A membership provides unlimited active pledges. Three plans are offered, with advertised US prices of $6.99 per week (Weekly), $21.00 per month (Monthly), and $152.99 per year (Yearly, billed once a year). Apple displays the applicable local price and billing period before purchase.
• New subscribers may be offered a one-week free trial on the Monthly and Yearly plans; the Weekly plan has no free trial. A trial is shown only when your Apple Account is still eligible. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription at that plan's price.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a subscription, or when a free trial ends. Each plan renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can change plans or cancel in your Apple Account's subscription settings.
• In version 2.3 and later, membership is optional and is required to start additional active pledges beyond the free allowance. Existing pledges and history remain usable, including existing multiple pledges. Sign in with Apple connects paid membership to an account before a new subscription purchase. Older versions may require membership after their free access ends.

4. Honest reporting

PledgeIt's value depends on honest check-ins. Choose goals that fit your circumstances and use your record to reflect on your progress. PledgeIt does not guarantee that you will form or stop a habit.

5. Purchases, refunds, and cancellations

• All purchases are billed by Apple through your App Store account.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account's subscription settings. See Apple's cancellation instructions.
• Deleting a pledge, deleting your account, or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com, subject to Apple's policies and applicable consumer rights.

6. Feature ideas and feedback

Ideas you post to the shared feature board, and their vote totals, can be seen by other users. Post only content you have the right to share, and keep it free of sensitive personal information. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive or off-topic, and we may use feedback and ideas to improve the app without owing you compensation.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with purchase verification, access another person's account, reverse-engineer the app except where permitted by law, use it to violate any law, or represent PledgeIt as endorsing anything unlawful or harmful. We may suspend access for violations.

8. Health disclaimer

PledgeIt is not a medical device, therapy, addiction treatment, or emergency service and does not provide medical advice. For goals involving exercise, diet, smoking, addiction, or other health concerns, seek support from an appropriate qualified professional.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PledgeIt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page. If you disagree with changes, stop using the app and delete it. You may delete your account and data at any time from Options → Your Apple account → Delete account (see the Privacy Policy).

11. Governing law
